A THREE FOLD MESSAGE CONCERNING THE MISSING GLOW
FROM
THE ENSIGN
THAT WAS TO BE
SET UPON A HILL
THE CITY OF ZION

Interpretation through Eugene George Warner, Elder/Seventy
The house of Israel - My people, My family - were divinely spoken to, directed and admonished at a Seventies sponsored reunion of the Restoration Saints held at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, on June 29, 2002. The following is an in depth study and interpretation, utilizing the Ancient's Hebrew patterns, of the three sequential divine messages that were given during the reunion gathering's closing dedication and prayer service. The prevailing theme centers on instructing "My people of Zion to Arise - yea gifted, dreadfully gifted."
The following messages were taken from a transcription in paragraph form with 2 missing words; and have been placed in Hebrew poetic style with accompanying Hebrew structures. The deeper insight is found therein. Each of the messages is followed by a commentary derived from and based upon hours of diligent study, prayer and meditation over the divine direction given and the depth and completeness of the Hebrew structures and symbols found therein. I must say, in the past ten years, I have not seen a more complete, harmonious and appropriate set of divine directions to the people of His church, herein the house of Israel. The following messages are definitely in tune with what Nephi. Jacob. Alma and Christ call the "spirit of prophecy."
The
City of Zion... to be Set Upon a Hill
As an Ensign to the World
1. As a city is set upon a hill to be an ensign to the world,
the city of Zion, so now you see My family.
The jewels of My house are revealed to you.
And the mothers of Israel who have given forth the Princes of Israel,
For the light of the Lord's counsel is in their face,
And they're the children of the Kingdom.
2. The Lord would have you know that you need to shed your apathy.
Like the serpent who casts its skin in the grass, and the old [self].
And from within grow, List x 3 and stretch,
and lift yourselves
until that which is apathetic and old is gone.
Shed your unconcern, List x 2 your disinterest
and repent of your besetting sins,
and become converted.
3. The Lord calls you to risk,
and move forward in the service of your God.
Funds and resources to serve are abundant;
but not for always.
For yea the time cometh when the barns of your substance avail nothing
in the accountability that shall be demanded of your soul.
4a. Pray for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Pray that My people of Zion shall arise - yea gifted, dreadfully gifted -
with light and with power to cry to the world,
Thy warfare is accomplished!
Receive thy King, the Lord of Lords is a King of Kings!
b. Pray for your children.
Pray that My children shall be protected from the guiles of satan,
and the world of his deceits.
Uphold in your prayers the needs of My church
as ye shall be called in righteousness when I come to her.
5a. I commend the desires to serve,
for blessed are those who desire to come into My Kingdom
swiftly.
But more blessed shall be those who sacrifice their treasure,
yea of property and List of 6 treasures
of wealth,
of time,
yea of family,
even of friends.
even the comforts of being in the worship of My church
To carry Me to the world.

b. I commend your diligence in your loneliness
to
stand for Me here.
And I count it to you for an eternal blessing,
for these are eternal moments.

yet it shall be a time of testing,
that ye may be qualified for the day of My power.

and I say to you, You are My families, and My children.
THE SLEEPING CHURCHES
The Restoration begun by young Joseph in the 1830's was established by the Lord knowing the calamity which should come upon the inhabitants of the earth, called upon my servant Joseph Smith, Jr., and spake unto him from heaven, and gave him commandments, and also gave commandments to others, that they should proclaim these things unto the world. Instead of fulfilling her above commanded mission - and also that faith might increase in the earth and that the fullness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple, unto the ends of the world, and before kings and rulers... all this that it might be fulfilled, which was written by the prophets the churches have been lulled to apathy and deep sleep. (O&C 1:4a-e) Note: Key words from the revelation are highlighted in bold type.
The prophets, and especially Isaiah's chapter 60 - Arise!, Shine! Wake-up, For your light is come, and particularly Matthew's chapter 25:1-13 - Parable of the Ten Virgins - also warn of this revelation's issues of your (this generation of families) besetting (troubling) sins of apathy.
And the love of men shall wax cold, and iniquity shall abound;
And when the time of the Gentiles is come in,
a light shall break forth among them that sit in darkness,
And it shall be the fullness of My gospel;
But they receive it
not for they perceive not the light,
And they turn their hearts from Me because of the precepts of men.
D&C 45:4b-c
The Restoration's purpose, as we are reminded
(remember, remember) by this revelation's divine direction to us, was to prepare the world for the coming
calamity, which is always the way of the world (when man counsels his fellow-man and trusts in the arm of flesh D&C 1:4c) -
it cometh! Further, concerning the timing of five foolish virgins' sin of
apathy D&C 45:8(a) continues:
Then shall the arm of the Lord fall upon the nations,

and then shall the Lord set his foot upon this mount,
and it shall cleave in twain,
and the earth shall tremble and reel to and fro;
and the heavens also shall shake,
and the Lord shall utter his voice
and all the ends of the earth shall hear it,
and the nations of the earth shall mourn,
and they that have laughed shall see their folly,
and calamity shall cover the mocker,
and the scorner shall be consumed,
and they that have watched for iniquity,
shall be hewn down and cast into the fire.
This revelation is directed to the mothers of Israel who nurture our families, particularly the Princes of Israel or the jewels of My house. It is important to recognize how the importance of the family is represented in all the Hebrew structures. Isaiah 32:5-13 recognizes the apathetic, care-less, daughters of Zion and their liberal misguided, vital role in the kingdom building process as we transition from the church age to the millennial kingdom age. Today's liberal attitudes will be exposed.
The vile person shall be no more called
liberal,
nor the churl
[peasant, ill bred person] said to be bountiful.
For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice
hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he
will cause the drink
[water/spirit] of the thirsty to fail.
The instruments also of the churl are evil; he deviseth wicked devices to
destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
But the liberal deviseth
liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
Rise up, [Arise] ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless
Daughters
[apathetic, unconcerned, disinterested]; give ear unto my speech.
Many days and years shall ye be troubled
[beset], ye
careless women;
for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not corne.
Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled
[beset], ye
careless ones;
strip you,
[Like the serpent who casts it's skin in the grass]
and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins
[repent].
They shall lament for the teats [nipples of the udder], for the pleasant fields,
for the fruitful vine.
Upon the land of my people shall
come up thorns and briers [judges & false prophets];
yea, upon all the houses of joy [righteous/justice] in the joyous city.
Babylon the Great is here alive and well - well planned, well orchestrated and well financed; but Zion suffers, lulled to asleep, yet to deliver. If My family is to
survive it must ARISE... D&C 81:4c - for Zion must increase in beauty, and in holiness; her borders must be enlarged; her stakes must be strengthened; yea, verily I say unto you, Zion must arise and put on her beautiful
garments.
The Lord calls you to risk, and move forward in the service of your God.
(v. 3). The importance of Arising from our sleep of apathy to move, grow,
stretch beyond and lift up is the major theme of the prophet Isaiah's 66 chapters (see chapters 21,23,26,31.49,52.58:10 & 60). The most important being chapter 60:1-3 which contains an eight point chiasm about arising to the light and centering on overcoming the veil of darkness covering the earth, and even grosser darkness over the people.

Arise, Shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
and gross darkness the people;
But the Lord shall
arise upon thee,
and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy
light,
and kings to the brightness of thy
rising.
The
light must come to wake-up the sleeping virgins, the daughters of Zion, (the mothers of
Israel); and thus they will begin to dispel the darkness, and the gross darkness over the people. Isaiah 52 is also a wake-up call:
1 Awake, awake;
Isa 60:1-3
Put on thy strength, a Zion;
Isa. 51:9
Put on thy beautiful
garments, a Jerusalem, the holy city;
For henceforth there shall no more come into thee
the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Shake thyself from the dust;
II Nephi 5:86-114
Arise, and sit down,
a Jerusalem;
Loose thyself from the bands (yoke) of thy neck
Isa 10:27
a captive daughter of Zion.
3 For thus saith the Lord,
Ye have sold yourselves for naught;
And ye shall be redeemed without money.
Most importantly, found within this revelation, are also signs of patterns and words from the Endowment revelation from God through Curry. Phrases like becoming qualified for the day of My power remind us of the necessary and requisite School of the Prophets so vital to our becoming endowed. Words like gifted, dreadfully gifted with light and with power to cry unto the world and speak with the spirit of prophecy and what comes with being endowed or anointed. (for example see Jacob 3;13-21; Alma 9:10-12; for a future example see ill Nephi 9:51-59).
"I call you to witness that the great spiritual leaders whom God has called to do a great work for Him have all been men of such exalted association and experience. Enoch, Moses, the prophets of Israel, the first apostles, Nephi, the twelve disciples of ancient America, Moroni, Joseph of the latter day-- Name one who could do his work until the Lord, with high spiritual experience, 1) qualified and 2) endowed him." Question 5, Characteristic #1, Endowment
"Nevertheless, except the Lord be in this house,
they labor in vain who build it, for the Lord by His Spirit will give the gifts
1) of discernment, 2) of evaluation, 3) of illumination, and
only under His blessing can you come to a unity of understanding and of faith.
This is why no ordinary school, or movement, or institution of research, modeled
upon the institutions of men, can ever suffice." (Endowment)
"Now, My son, you have answers to your questions, such as are sufficient for you.
You have not seen all for the greater seeing waits upon your growth.
It awaits upon the growth of others as well -
from those of high position and opportunity
to those of humble position, like yourself."
Now, from within, grow, stretch, and lift yourselves until that which is apathetic and old is gone. Blessed are those who desire My kingdom; but more blessed are those who waited and watched... who sacrificed their treasures... for the light of the Lord's counsel is in their face.
THE MISSING GLOW FROM THE LIGHT OF MY PEOPLE
Seventy Richard Neill stood up and confirmed the words which were spoken by brother Simmons. "The Lord has spoken through our servant. As Brother Neil (Simmons) and I have sat here together, I would like to say unto you that the Lord has further to speak.
"Following the service [the previous evening preaching service by Seventy George Thomas] I was walking by myself. The Spirit of God came upon me in response to a statement that I made. Following that experience, which I'll share in a moment, I desired to -- as I had done many years before on this campus -- find someplace that I could go, that I could be with the Lord, and He with me. I found a place to sit, not recognizing that just several feet in front of me was a lamp. And this lamp was without light. And as I sat there in meditation, the lamp began to flicker. The light began to grow, and it became as bright as any light in that area. Then all of a sudden, it flickered again and went completely out. And I continued to pray unto the Lord, and I said, Lord I'd like to see that light again, And as I looked up, the light was already flickering again. And the light went through the same process and began to get brighter. And I thought Lord, I don't want to see that light go out. And it began to flicker. And it went out.
"I realized that there was something not right. There was something missing for that light [not] to stay in its brightness. So I asked the Lord, What is it that's missing? What is it that we're missing as a people? "So I'd like to share this with you:
"The essential of the Gospel is Love. It is the essential of our service to others. It is the essential ingredient of our families. It is the essential ingredient of our missionary work. And it is the essential of the church where the church will be fully established. And as we have wondered why we continue in the state and condition we are [in]... it's because the Lord desires for a people to be a loving people, at greater levels than what we have experienced thus far. And as we have attained these things in times past, where the light would grow... and then go out; it would be because we did not fully understand the level of love required in the kingdom of God.
"To the Seventy, the theme for next year's reunion is - The Gospel of Love. We're to instruct the people, of the greater ways that His love can be expressed, [thus] bringing God's kingdom.
As I walked down that hallway, I had made the remark to the Lord that, "I'm tired." And He flooded my soul, and told me that His promises will not fail. And all things that are good will be restored.
"To My servant Brad [Carr], Graceland College will be restored to its purpose.
"As I walked the campus, I was aware of the presence of angels in our midst. But I also became keenly aware of the presence of those who have gone on before us. And I sensed the presence of Israel A. Smith walking these grounds. And that there are voices crying from the dust, and forces at work in this world, that will bring to pass His great and mighty purposes. He calls forth a people of love. It will hide a multitude of sin.
But as He has said in His scripture, that if you love not, you're not of Him. This coming year let us each one seek to find the greater understanding and revelation of love; that it may so find its place in the church that His purposes will be carried out, and Zion will once again come down and greet those who are here in a kingdom of love."
COMMENTARY
This vision was given the Friday evening and presented to the church/people the next day at the Saturday, June 29, 2002, prayer and dedication service. It was preceded by the revelation given through Seventy Neil Simmons and followed by the revelation of admonition given through Brother Rex Curtis.
The Restoration scriptures list 475 references to light and 51 references to light holders (lamps) to symbolically reference that caring spirit of Jesus Christ that is to be in all of us. Herein the light of His love is to be housed in earthen vessels or the potter's clay, and be ready to shine forth through and from us as a reflection of the Lord's love for all mankind (His bride, the house of Israel), to a world in darkness.
Both messages also given that same morning referred to the heart as being the lamp for the flame of His love. However, in the Simmons message, that lamp/heart is presently more open to the things of the world which encourage apathy, unconcern and disinterest - - - rather than to the caring/loving light and power of Christ, the WORD. The WORD, which through its study, builds a steadfastness and desire to help build Christ's kingdom and his Father's kingdom here on earth.
The best scriptural symbol and example of Neil's vision of the lamp and its glow is found in the design and purpose of the Hebrew Menorah.
The menorah is composed of one (1) golden candlestick with six (6) branches making a lamp stand that held seven (7) lamps filled with oil to power each of seven (7) flames. (Exodus 25:31-40; 37:17-29). The number 7 also appears in the sorite in the interpretation portion of this vision (see opposing page). Its seven (7) steps/branches of 6 + 1 symbolize the combining and contrasting of what is human and what is spiritual. (Isa. 11:2; Joel 2:28-29; Rom. 9:4 - examples of lists of 6 + 1 = 7 pertinent to this issue).
Our spiritually is a type of the temple of God. The original, mobile tabernacle of Moses' time, like Solomon's temple, had five (5) symbolic components or areas. The floor plan of the Temple of God is a type... a similitude of the "interior" architecture of man. Paul affirms this type in I Cor. 3:16: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. (see also II Cor. 6:16). Now by comparison (see diagram) the Outer Court = Body (Vehicle); the Inner Court = Soul (Expression); under roof - the Porch = Faith/Willpower (Direction); the Holy Place = a New Heart (Motivation); and the "most holy place" - reserved for the Father, Son and Holy Ghost - the Holy of Holiness, housing the Arc of the Covenant = New Spirit (Source).
In Hosea 12:10 God tells us that He often uses similitude's, analogies or "word pictures" in order to help us better understand His Words. (Note: The Hebrew root meaning of similitude is "because we are dumb" or not to "bright" in the ways of the Lord.)
The seven lamp Menorah was symbolically placed in the Holy Place with the Showbread, table, and eating utensils. Even today this room demonstrates God's thoughts and His love, and is where the sons of God obtain the flame... the light for their new heart... their motivation and a new or renewed will power to go forth.
Troubled, beset with sin, walking after the flesh and his own desires, double- minded man with a contrite heart, can make periodic visits to this tabernacle to fill his own, earthen vessel/temple with the light of God's WORD, His love and His thoughts, His Doctrine and His Ordinances. These are the tools with which mankind submits and commits to making a covenant - an everlasting covenant.
He could then walk out of the tabernacle into the world of darkness and sin with God's will power... now making choices based on faith... "walking after the Spirit." Thus the truly open, no bargaining heart, becomes "spirit filled" or filled with "the fullness of Go," to an understanding of his covenant relationship, his purpose and destiny. This becomes a Single-mindedness, or more precisely, single souled; because now only one life in covenant is now being lived here - God's! This man or woman is now an open vessel, being dedicated and molded to a oneness with the Father through the Son... the Bridegroom.
Notice the temple described above and pictured below now resembles a I "flashlight." In a sense we are like flashlights piercing the darkness with batteries that periodically need recharging. You can even see the battery compartments from which the power flows to supply and energize the glow of the lamp's flame. This is what Luke in 11:33 meant when he said: No man, when he hath lighted a lamp (candle), putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a lampstand. that they who come in may see the light. Likewise, from a true believer's open heart his soul can either shine forth God's life of love... or, as in the Parable of the Ten Virgins, we can stay asleep/apathetic - in Mystery Babylon the Great.
However today, to be awake watchmen we need an essential ingredient that comes from being individually and collectively "endowed/taught from on high." This spiritual anointing based on love creates a collective beacon; and when set upon a hill will be seen, and draw many nations to it.

Conclusion: We're to instruct the people, of the greater ways that His love can be expressed, [thus] bringing God's kingdom.
Through the lamp Richard Neil saw the bride's whole cyclical history of the hot to cold and back, light to dark and back, ancient and modem day house of Israel. Except for the example of Enoch's city, all attempts by "My family /Israel" to build "the city / Zion to be set upon the hill" have failed. Our only hope is to follow Enoch's City's spiritual anointing and example, and become Endowed like the people of Enoch's time. To accomplish this we must be "taught from on high." As the Lord has already told us through Earl Curry, our ultimate goal and destiny can only be fully understood and accomplished through a divinely directed School of the Prophets. A school for diligently studying and past prophetic patterns and directions to better understand and implement our present revelations as divine direction His bride. From such a school will come the spiritual training and further spiritual direction so necessary for our giftedness; and to Zion's enemies, as in Enoch's time, it will be a "dreadful giftedness" so needed to see us through the "calamity" which will surely come.
"And it came to pass that Enoch continued to call upon all the people, save it were the people of Cainan, to repent. And so great was the faith of Enoch that he led the people of God, and their enemies came to battle against them, and he spake the word of the Lord, and the earth trembled, and the mountains fled, even according to his command; and the rivers of water were turned out of their course, and the roar of the lions was heard out of the wilderness, and all nations feared greatly, so powerful was the word of Enoch, and so great was the power of language which God had given him.
There also came up a land out of the depth of the sea; and so great was the fear of the enemies of the people of God, that they fled and stood afar off, and went upon the land which came up out of the depths of the sea. And the giants of the land, also, stood afar off; and there went forth a curse upon all the people which fought against God. And from that time forth there were wars and bloodsheds among them; but the Lord came and dwelt with His people, and they dwelt in righteousness.
The fear of the Lord was upon all nations, so great was the glory of the Lord which was upon His people. And the Lord blessed the land, and they were blessed upon the mountains, and upon the high places, and did flourish. And the Lord called His people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind (Zeph. 3:9), and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them; and Enoch continued his preaching in righteousness unto the people of God."

Throughout the house of Israel's history the spirit's light has repeatedly glowed and grown to great brightness and then gone out, leaving only the people of Enoch's City as an ensign to follow. Will we, like Enoch's people, be able to obtain the essential ingredient needed to become endowed sufficiently to achieve Zion and all she can provide to withstand the coming calamity? Only time will tell.
Final thought: What is the speed of light? That's right 186,000 miles per second or 6 trillion miles a year or one light year. If light can travel that fast, then... The final question is: What is the speed of dark?? And... How can darkness overtake the light?? The best answer is found in Isaiah 60:1-5.
Don't stand still or stay asleep and let double mindedness and the darkness of the world overtake your light. Wake-up... Arise! Shine!...
If You Will Just Open Your Hearts To Me...
1 Listen and give ear a house of Israel.
The Lord your Savior desires to speak unto you and to confirm
that I have inspired My servants to speak these words to you
that you might know that they are of the truth.
For their hearts are open
2a. I call you My church today.
When I speak to you, I speak to all My church,
that you may carry this message unto them;
into their hearts.
For I am your Lord, Jesus Christ.
I gave My life
that My bride might be born,
and her garments might be made white.
b.
I call you My church because many of My people have gone astray
and have left My doctrine and My ordinances.
They have left the promise that My Father made even unto Abraham; I N 4:28-33
that if he would hold steadfast,
that nations would be blessed and the church would come forth.

You are My children.
You are friends.
Your
dedications and your offerings are acceptable before Me.
For when your children stand and pray
I know that you have taught them My word.
And indeed thou shalt be blessed because of your works.
Your dedications to Me are acceptable.
And I say this unto you again because I say unto you at this time,
Do
not bargain with your God, and My God.
Place yourself on the altar.
And if you will dedicate your heart, and your mind,
to do the Father's will in His Kingdom,
Great blessing will be yours,
and joy unknown will fill your heart.

I desire to see all of you in My Father's Kingdom.
Will you choose Me this day and heed?
Will your hearts not open up unto the word which I speak unto you,
that you might know of My great love for you?
That I might extend to you the greatest blessings of heaven,
if you will just open your heart and your mind to Me and My word,
and share it with those who sit in darkness; I Nephi 4:1-29 I Because they have left My ordinances. III Nephi 7:28

Your are to be their light to draw them nigh unto Me.
Unto Me!
To show them the truth again,
that they might establish in their hearts My word,
that they might
not be the lost sheep of Israel,
But that they may be gathered into one sheepfold,
the sheepfold which I have prepared even from the foundation of this world. I have prepared it.
Be ye a part of it.
For if you're not a part of it,
then ye are not Mine.
And if your hearts are not open unto this word,
then you are not Mine,
For My word is Love.

Have I not commanded you in the past to love the Father,
And to love one another?
And are not these two the greatest commandments?
Hold steadfast, and be immovable in your works,
that your love may abound
and I might abide in you.
And My Father will abide in you.
4a.
You've been granted the gift of the Holy Ghost,
that He might bring to remembrance
in the times when you feel the need to share My word.
And the word will be brought to your heart and your mind
as you study and understand all of My doctrine, and My ordinances.
That the people might be taught from on high,
even as your servants, My servants, teach from on high.
c.
Indeed this is a blessed day in which you live.
For this is the dispensation of time
in which all things will come to fulfillment.
And great and marvelous works are about to come forward,
if you will just open your heart to Me.
5a.
To My servant Frank Frye and his wife Patti,
I am so pleased with your works and the dedication of your lives.
You have sacrificed much for My Kingdom, and My Father's Kingdom.
[To Frank:] Continue steadfast and I will continue to bless you
with understandings beyond your knowledge even now,
that you might continue to teach My people.
b.
And to Patti, My dear Patti,
whose heart is so soft that thou can not even speak unto Me
without a tear upon your eye.
I say unto you, continue to bless your husband with love and encouragement.
For days ahead this will be tough and be difficult for you to comprehend even now.
But I say unto you, remain steadfast
and I will be by your side
