I was discussing Mosiah 5:65 where it mentions a Nephite search party had come across ruins of an earlier civilization (Jaredite). To prove this find they brought back 24 gold plates and some armor and weapons. The breastplates are descibed as large. This is a clue that the Jaredites were considerably larger people than the Nephites. So I found some information that confirms there is evidence of large people in North and South America in ancient times. The web site at Xpeditions Magazine.com has a long article that covers many old stories of tall people and giants in this land.

Also there is an article in National geographic about the Silk Road thru China. In one area of desert they found mummies that were quite large with red hair. This area is a possible route the Jaredites took from the tower to the seashore. This was March,1996 for anyone that would like to look this up.

Gene Warner has identified various Hebrew poetry forms in this poem which makes it more profound and easier to study. To me it is also an indication that the poem was inspired by the Holy Spirit as we do not usually write or speak in Hebrew poetry, but God does.
