A Very Special Book Now Available by E.J. "Bud" Severyn

The Indian Ministry Council of the Americas (IMCA) has had the book "The Purpose of the Book of Mormon", which was written by Walter Weldon in 1976, reprinted in paperback.

The book is divided into three parts. Part I details the purpose of the Book of Mormon as it relates to the Gentiles of the Promised Land. Part II shows the purpose of the Book of Mormon as this record speaks to the Lamanites. Part III tells what the book reveals concerning the Promised Land. Walter added a page between 58 and 59 in the reprint, clarifying with scriptural references, that the Book of Mormon identifies all the people who came to the Americas after Columbus as Gentiles.

It is an excellent study guide for class work, with the intent to search the Book of Mormon for its message for today.

Jesus Christ has preserved a message in the Book of Mormon for the remnant people of this land. The greatest need is for us to tell that message, the same as it is in the Book of Mormon, to all HIS people. Christ's doctrine is unchangeable to all generations. Book of Mormon materials that are currently available, and other materials that will be coming in the future, are for those who want to be numbered among God's people. There is one stipulation, that they must be willing to invest their time, talents and material means to further the Kingdom. The message of the Book of Mormon must be returned to the seed of Lehi before Zion can ever be established.

The book sells for $3.50, with all the proceeds going to IMCA for Native American ministries. This book can be purchased at the following locations and from individuals:

Food Fair Coop, Price's Book Store, FRAA, School of the Saints, Walter Weldon, E. J. "Bud" Severyn and other IMCA members.
