Indian Ministry Council of the Americas, Inc. Mission Statement

Indian Ministry Council of the Americas (IMCA) exists for one purpose and that is to return the Book of Mormon & the fullness of the gospel to the Heritage People. All of our goals and objectives are directed toward that eventual end.

IMCA is a non-profit organization exclusively for charitable, educational, religious and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue code, to wit: (1) Develop and maintain a Native American training center and reunion grounds. (2) Develop, encourage and train indigenous leadership for reservation ministry. (3) Develop a training center for missionary-minded priesthood to improve their skills in taking the gospel to Native Americans. (4) Assist in missionary efforts among the Restoration Branches of the Church of Jesus Christ in taking the gospel to Native American people with the Restoration Branches and the various reservation areas opened to Indian Ministries.

Our Board of Directors consist of Arthur Soldner, Presiding Chairman; Richard Hensley, Secretary; Jack Wells, Ron Wilson, Forrest Liggett, Cecil Abbott, Leroy Campbell, Council members.

We are in the process of forming a Native American Advisory Council to IMCA. Presently we have Louis Cunningham, Osage; Lou Foute, Sioux; Danny Hosteen, Navaho; Quinn Blackrider, Blackfoot. In addition we have 40 associate members and priesthood from sixteen Restoration Branches all involved in reservation ministry all across North America.

IMCA has acquired 42.5 acres, SE of Grain Valley, Mo., on AA Highway. We have constructed a 52-ft. hogan worship center for Native Americans: A restroom and kitchen facility will be completed this summer to handle Native American youth camps and worship experiences for native people in the Kansas City area. On these grounds are play equipment for the young and a beautiful camp area. All this is debt-free.

This is the Lord's work and not our own. We need continual guidance and direction as we proceed to carry forward this curious work and a wonder. May God continue to guide and bless our efforts in the coming years.
